The Mirage of Euthanasia: Lessons from Canada
Coordinator · Living with Dignity citizen network
Born in the province of Quebec, Canada, Jasmin set his sights on public communications, first at the comedy festival Le Grand Rire, then at the national office of World Youth Day in Toronto. He went on to make a name for himself as a bridge-builder in his role as Director of Communications for the Archdiocese of Quebec. He now divides his time between Warsaw (where he lives with his Polish wife and their two children) and Canada. Since 2020, he has been a passionate champion, in Quebec, of the ideals of the Living with Dignity (Vivre dans la Dignité) network, which represents citizens of all convictions. His role is to promote palliative care, while firmly and constructively opposing euthanasia — referred to in Canada by the euphemism “medical assistance in dying.” He also works within coalitions to prioritize access to care and services for people living with disabilities or physical or mental illness.
